One Top… 3 Looks

One Top... 3 Looks
I was recently out shopping with a friend of mine and we had gotten in to the topic of versatility.  I was explaining to her that when I look at tops, I think about what I already have in my closet so that I’m not duplicating and how many outfits I could put together with it.  To my surprise,  she would purchase certain pieces to wear for certain occasions only instead of looking for versatility.  She didn’t realize that the same top can be dressed up, casual, or for work just depending on what you paired with it.  It was this conversation that has led me to this post.  Let’s discuss.
1)  Work Chic
In this look, the teal sleeveless top was paired with a black boyfriend cut blazer, black dress pants, and a chunky heel slingback.  The silver and black jewelry create a professional classy look.  A great black bag pulls it all together.
I love the ease of this look and that it can transition to “drinks with coworkers” just by taking of the jacket for a more relaxed professional look.
2)  Casual Day Out
The casual day out look takes a slightly different approach.  We use the same teal sleeveless top , but this time we pair it with indigo boot cut denim jeans and black ballet flats.  The fun black and white printed tote, the silver knot necklace, and pearls create a fun laid back look.  You never know who you will run in to while out running errands or grabbing a quick bite to eat so always look your best.
3)  Night Out on the Town
This look is my favorite because it’s fun and again simple.  A black pleated skirt with the same teal top accented with silver toned rope necklace with stretchy bracelet with black booties.   The clutch is the fun piece that ties it all together.  This is a “go out and party” outfit, but in a sophisticated fun way.
The color choices for these three pieces were chosen because it compliments all skin tones AND everything listed is $50 or less.
So when you are out shopping for those great deals, look for pieces that will create a multitude of looks.
Thanks for reading.
